Award Ranges:
Scholarships may cover up to 80% of tuition for the most highly qualified applicants with the highest demonstrated financial need. Award levels are determined individually based on:
  • Cognitive ability and academic achievement
  • Alignment with Cyprus values and mission
  • Additional scholarship funding may be offered based on demonstrated financial need; must apply for financial assistance to be considered
Hardship Consideration:
In exceptional circumstances, families experiencing significant financial hardship may be considered for additional assistance beyond the standard maximum award level. This ensures that outstanding students are not prevented from attending Cyprus due to financial barriers.

Eligibility
Any student who qualifies for admission to Cyprus Classical Academy is eligible for scholarship consideration. If your family is interested in joining our community, we encourage you to apply.
How Determinations Are Made:
  • Complete applications will be reviewed upon submission with a deadline of  Friday, July 25, 2025.
    • Applications are considered complete when all required items have been submitted or when all items except the IQ score and report have been received and an IQ testing appointment has been scheduled through Cyprus.
    • Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an admissions decision along with any scholarship offer. To secure your award, you must accept the scholarship and complete the enrollment and tuition agreement within five days or by July 27, whichever comes first.
  • Beginning on July 28th, all students on the scholarship waiting list will be notified. Families offered a scholarship at that time must accept or decline the award within one business day. If accepting the scholarship, they must complete their enrollment and tuition agreement by July 31.

FAQ

Q: How are awards determined?
A:
Scholarship awards are based primarily on intellectual ability, individual achievement & engagement, and alignment with Cyprus’s mission and values.

Q: Is the scholarship available to online students?
A:
Yes. The Cyprus Scholars Award is available to both on-site and online students who meet the eligibility criteria.

Q: What happens if a student leaves mid-year?
A:
Our enrollment and tuition agreement outlines the amount due when a student leaves which depends on the scholarship amount, the notification date, and the final day of enrollment. Parents will be able to review all of the details when they receive their scholarship offer.

Q: Is re-application needed annually?
A:

Once awarded, the scholarship will automatically renew each year as long as the student maintains continuous enrollment and consistently meets expectations. If a student is not meeting expectations, Cyprus will work collaboratively with parents to provide support and help the student work toward meeting the required standards.

Note: If your award includes need-based assistance, please note that this portion may change over time. A yearly financial assistance application is required to confirm continued eligibility for the financial need component of the scholarship.

Q: Are current Cyprus students eligible for this scholarship?
A:

No. A Cyprus Scholars Award is a one-time opportunity available only to new students enrolling for the 2025–2026 school year.

Q: Will we know the scholarship amount before enrolling?
A:
Yes. Families will receive a written scholarship award offer along with their admissions decision letter so they can make an informed enrollment decision.

Q: What if my child meets the criteria academically but struggles socially or behaviorally?
A:

Cyprus Scholars Awards are intended for students who are both academically advanced and prepared to contribute positively to our community. We recognize that some students may struggle socially or behaviorally in other settings due to a lack of appropriate challenge. The dmissions process help determine whether Cyprus is a good fit. A conditional scholarship may be offered with clear expectations and a defined review period to support growth and ensure a successful transition.

Q: Can my child’s scholarship amount change over time?
A:

Scholarships are renewed annually for the same amount as long as the student maintains continuous enrollment and consistently meets expectations.
