Cyprus Classical Academy's Science Program
Cyprus specializes in International Studies and History.
All Cyprus Academy students from Kindergarten and up take daily History classes. Our curriculum takes us from Ancient times through modern times in six years, with a year specifically dedicated to the Eastern Hemisphere, its history and cultures. Our studies culminate with events three times each year to completely immerse children in the place and time we are studying. Each year, the entire school studies the same topics, creating a connection between all of our students. Our art, music and other subjects also reflect the history and culture we are studying, which creates an ambience of the time and place throughout the school. Above is pictured our Medieval Banquet. In 2015-2016, we are studying Ancient Rome, Celtics and Vikings, and Medieval Times.
Cyprus develops talent in Music and the Arts.
Cyprus offers weekly classes in music and art for all students as a regular part of our school day. After school, Cyprus School of Music and the Arts offers classes to Cyprus students as well as the general community. There are amazing opportunities for developing talent. Wtih Crescendo, an intense and exciting musical program to develop ability in young musicians and our Artist Development program, you won't find a better place to develop talent. Cyprus has an exceptional Language and Literature program for young children.
Many Cyprus students are voracious readers with extremely high reading levels and writing ability. We work with their abilities, and each student who is fluent in reading takes a Language and a Literature/Composition class. Students learn to write and speak publically, while reading and analyzing quality novels at their high reading levels with content suited for their age. Students learn to write up through high school levels.
Cyprus offers Mandarin Chinese and Spanish fluency classes.
Cyprus offers daily reading, writing and speaking classes in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish. Students learn in small, ability-based groups and practice their skills as part of their daily routine. The classes are rigorous and on a track to fluency.
