Dakota County Recycling Poster Competition - Overall 1st Place & Most Original Poster
Cyprus Students swept the poster competition by winning both awards! Our students won the Overall 1st Place Poster as well as the Most Original Poster. Student's posters will be displayed in the Galaxie Library and then presented to students at a school assembly.

NUMATS 2016-2017
Two 7th grade Bridge Year students took the ACT, one 7th grade student took the SAT, and five 3rd - 5th grade students participated in the Northwestern University Midwest Academic Talent Search, taking the PSAT 8/9. Because the PSAT 8/9 is a new test, percentiles are still pending.

Most of our 6th grade-aged students took the ACT this year through NUMATS with an average composite score of 26, and an outstanding average of 28 in math! (The national average for high school juniors and seniors taking the ACT is 20.)

Cyprus' iKids band was selected for City of Burnsville's music video!

Cyprus' iKids band, consisting of five 9 &10 year old highly accomplished musicians was selected to perform and sing for the City of Burnsville in their music video for "I Love Burnsville Week."
The iKids band needed to learn and memorize the lyrics to the "I Love Burnsville Week" song, and record it at the BCTV studio. Then they performed with a green screen. It was a great experience for these kids. |

Cyprus Student Wins Academic Talent Search!
8 year old Cyprus student, won the Northwestern University Academic Talent Search (NUMATS) for 3rd grade and placed again for 4th grade, and was a prizewinner, yet again in 5th grade! To win this honor, he earned the top score in the midwest states on the 8th grade EXPLORE test, and on the ACT in 2015. His story was on WCCO news!
