Literature, Composition, and Presentation

Picture
Once Cyprus students are reading fluently and ready for more in-depth studies of literature, we begin separating the Literature, Composition, and Public Speaking components from Language Arts classes.  Each class engages in round-table Socratic discussions, diving deep into the literature and analyzes the text.  Students are mentored in their writing skills from the time they are very young, beginning with writing with a simple paragraph and then gradually working toward writing analytical and research papers of around ten pages.  Below is the list of books one group of graduates studied from the time they were 5-6 years old to their graduation.
