Language Arts
At Cyprus, students are placed in ability-based Language Arts classes. For beginning readers, instruction integrates literature, composition, and presentation. Once students become fluent readers, the program intentionally divides into two distinct courses.
Language Arts classes are then separate from Literature, Composition, and Presentation courses so that ample time can be devoted to the careful study of the mechanics of the English language, while literary discussion and analysis are explored in depth in their own dedicated class.
